We are excited to offer students in grades K-12 the option to attend classes online for the 2022 - 2023 school year. The online learning environment can provide a valuable experience for many students. To best support students, our team recommends that you ensure your child is committed to learning at home before registering for the academy. Our primary goal is supporting our students and creating successful learning environments. Please consider your child’s style of learning and possibility of success in this program.  Registration is a commitment for the entire school year. Student applications will be reviewed and approved in the order they were submitted and families will be notified of their application status as soon as possible.  Small class sizes are important and therefore registration will remain open as long as there is available space.  Registration for grades 9-12 will be dependent on graduation requirements and course availability with Edgenuity Instructional Services.  

The Rome City Schools Virtual Learning Academy is not a separate school but rather a separate program. 

Students in grades K - 8 are invited to participate in programs and activities offered by the Virtual Learning Academy.

Students in grades 6 - 12 are invited to participate in sports with Rome High School and Rome Middle School.

Students in grades 7 - 12 may participate in the extracurricular activities at Rome High School and Rome Middle School.

Please complete the online registration process and select the Virtual Learning Academy in the drop-down list of schools. You will be contacted after you have completed the online registration process.  Registration will close for each grade level once the maximum class size has been met.
