Rome City Schools received notice that an inmate has escaped the Floyd County Jail. As a precaution, Rome High School, Rome Middle School, and Main Elementary are on lockdown until more information becomes available via local law enforcement officials. Additional updates will be made available through social media pages and direct messaging services. At this time, Rome City Schools will maintain a regular school schedule and dismissal times.
