After studying different climates and habitats, VLA students created dioramas. The students shared these with their classmates in science . The students were also tasked with writing an informational essay about their habitat that was utilized as one of the writing assignments in ELA.

Congratulations to Ka'Mori Fluker! Ka'Mori's Bubble Gum Machine won first place in the structures category in the Final Cardboard Challenge at the elementary level. Ka'Mori was presented with a pizza gift card and a Visa gift card. Coach Floyd visited the Floyd County EMS Headquarters and worked with Captain Ben Harbin, Lieutenant Ryan Holden, Charlie Bullard, and Tim Wells. The VLA is thankful for this opportunity to visit!
